By the end of this year, the highly anticipated Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) will officially open its third stage, although Mount Pleasant and Marina South stations will open later.
The TEL will be opened in phases and is expected to be fully operational by 2025. The line will consist of 32 stations, eight of which will be interchange stations connecting to major MRT lines such as the North-South, Circle, and East-West lines. Once completed, the TEL will connect the northern, southern, and eastern regions of Singapore, providing convenient services to over a million residents.
Currently, all stations from Stage 1 and Stage 2 are open, meaning the section from Woodlands North to Caldecott is already in service.
