J.P. Morgan Chairman and CEO Jamie Dimon highlighted the role Singapore plays in the bank’s Asia Pacific growth strategy at the opening of its new office on June 8.
“Singapore is a critical financial and technology hub for J.P. Morgan and an integral part of our growth story in Asia Pacific,” Dimon said, speaking at the launch ceremony at CapitaSpring–an integrated development in the heart of Singapore’s financial district.
Joining him to officiate the new office launch were Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for Social Policies Tharman Shanmugaratnam, and J.P. Morgan Asia Pacific CEO Filippo Gori.

The new seven-floor office, spanning 155,000 square feet, features state-of-the-art equipment and sustainable infrastructure. It is equipped with real-time air quality sensors and automatic sunscreens, and includes additional amenities such as a modern client center, high-tech collaboration spaces, a mini-market, and ergonomic employee rest areas. Over a third of the company’s Singapore-based employees will be located in the new office.
“Our move to this state-of-the-art workplace reaffirms the firm’s commitment to this critical market and provides the opportunity to further secure our long-term growth and future in Singapore,” said Dimon. “The new office’s outstanding infrastructure and facilities will enable us to continue meeting our clients’ needs while providing our employees with a best-in-class work environment.”

Minister Tharman stated, “The development of Singapore as a financial center has been greatly dependent on the roles played by leading financial institutions like J.P. Morgan, which have enhanced our capabilities and the entire ecosystem over the years. J.P. Morgan’s work on the frontiers of sustainability and fintech is very much aligned with our goal of meeting Asia’s needs in new areas of growth, and we look forward to deepening our partnership in achieving this larger purpose.”
Established in 1964, the Singapore office is J.P. Morgan’s Southeast Asia headquarters and the company’s hub for foreign exchange and commodities futures in the Asia Pacific region, offering a full suite of services including corporate and investment banking, commercial banking, asset management, and private banking.
This market also serves as the company’s global technology hub. Its Singapore Corporate Center in Changi is one of the bank’s four global incident command centers, responsible for monitoring and resolving technology issues for clients. It also operates one of the three global cybersecurity operations centers, providing the firm with 24/7 defense against cyber threats.
