How to check the application status of a Singapore Employment Pass, or the status of an existing pass
The Singapore Ministry of Manpower (MOM) has launched a new online portal (MOM /Check a Work Pass) for checking work pass status, allowing you to check the status of a Singapore work pass application even before you arrive in Singapore.
Both employers and foreign applicants can check their Employment Pass application status or the status of an existing Employment Pass by logging into the link on the Ministry of Manpower’s public website.
Information required to check the progress or status of an Employment Pass application includes:
- FIN No.
- Application date
- Passport number
- Application number
How to check the status of a Singapore Employment Pass
Enter your date of birth, followed by your FIN or passport number (travel document number), and you will be able to view the status of work pass applications submitted within the last 6 months.
Once on the inquiry page, enter the corresponding number to get the results:
a. You can search by the applicant’s pass number and application date.
b. You can search by the applicant’s passport number.
c. You can search by the application receipt number.
Any of these three options will yield a result.
The system will display the applicant’s pass number, name, application number, application date, and type of pass applied for, as well as the application status (pending/rejected/approved/issued).
